Great to sit at the kitchen table and watch the children playing happily in the garden! We saw the baby deer twice and loved the views all around. We’ve had a lovely weekend break. The house is homely and welcoming and the toys were much appreciated. Thank you, we hope to come back again.

Beautiful location, we have relaxed and felt very welcome and comfortable in your lovely home. The weather hasn’t dampened a fabulous time ambling around Ambleside. Our grandson Daniel has really enjoyed being able to play with the trains and tracks toys. We have had lovely days out and relaxed by a lovely comforting fire at night.

What a great place! We enjoyed a walk to Loughrigg Tarn and took in the views, then relaxed here, having a sociable time in the dining room. We are already planning a return trip with our children and husbands. Thank you for such a welcoming and relaxed home to stay in.

Thank you for letting us use your wonderful house, we really enjoyed our stay. The whole family is here to celebrate David and Diana’s 50th Wedding Anniversary. The garden was put to good use and we all had fun on the rope swing and playing hockey, football and cricket. We also had a barbeque. The weather was excellent and we went up Scafell Pike and Helvellyn.

A wonderful stay had by all. Especially nice to be able to play football and dine outside during the hot weather. Also very much appreciated was the provision of Wi-Fi, which with various members fully online was great. All the rooms were clean and well presented and the range of books to read was truly marvellous – a cut above any other holiday cottage we’ve been to – an obvious appreciation of hills and mountaineering runs through. All in all a great holiday, many thanks!

We have had a really lovely time here in your amazing house. It is so family friendly with lots of space and comfortable furnishings. We’ve had cozy chats and games round the fire and enjoyed a sing-song round the piano. The children enjoyed the toys very much and we all felt very much at home here. We will certainly recommend it and hope to be back ourselves some time.

Wonderful house, kids loved it (Lucy 2, Harry 6) and made an amazing Thomas track all around the playroom. Lucy loved your dolls house. The fire in the lounge was soooo cosy at night. The snow was lovely too and made for beautiful views and great sledging (in the garden) We hope to come back again one day.
