Welcome to Dalefield House
A large Victorian house with fantastic views, super garden and spacious
rooms, Dalefield is ideal for a family gathering. There is an open fire,
period features, claw-foot bath, BBQ, big flat garden and additional
field. The house has five bedrooms, sleeping 7 adults and 3 children
+ baby, and lots of car parking. Dalefield is two minutes walk from
the centre of Ambleside on a quiet street with amazing panoramic views.
Be first in the door to grab the fabulous master suite with king size
bed, bay window and en suite bathroom with a simply divine cast iron
roll-top bath.

We have tried to include all those little things that we wish for in
a holiday house, so that you don't have to worry about the details.
So you will find free WiFi, all the kitchen utensils you need, beds
made up with quality bedding, plenty of towels for everyone, hair dryer,
some interesting books to read and decent DVDs to watch (not just the
freebies out of the Sunday paper...), toys and books for the children,
enough loo roll, soap, cooking oil, firewood, BBQ fuel, etc... and no
extra charges for anything.

Having notched up nearly 10 years of running B&Bs in the Lake District,
we are very switched on to the requirements of visitors and have put
a lot of effort into getting it right. Our previous guesthouse, the
Waterwheel, was given a four star rating plus a Silver award that reflects
exceptional quality. The current owners have maintained this superb
rating and you can see for yourself by clicking on their link below.
We aim for the same high standards at Dalefield House.
Places to eat in Ambleside
"What a beautiful place and such a comfortable and lovely home
to stay in. The views and walks are magical and the house has every
comfort a family could wish for." Janette Eddisford
and family, Brighton. June 2010
Spot
the deer in the garden
Deer are a common sight on the lawn - the garden and our field are
partially surrounded by woods and the deer make their wobbling white-bottomed
way from Stockghyll woods or the slopes of Wansfell into the garden.
